We would like to inform you that Secutech Vietnam will be held as scheduled on 20-22 August 2020. According to local authorities, the Coronavirus situation appears to be under control and the Vietnamese government has taken proactive steps to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.
Recent developments include:
- Travel bans and/or entry restrictions for citizens of and passengers passing by high-risk places like China, South Korea, Iran and a number of European countries.
- Stricter airport screening with infrared thermal scanning and quarantine measures.
- Vietnam’s recent removal from US CDC (Center for Disease Control)’s list of destinations vulnerable to the virus due to the government’s ongoing efforts in monitoring, quarantine and treatment of the virus (news article link).
Please be assured that the health and wellbeing of our exhibitors, visitors and staff at Secutech Vietnam are our top priorities. Any person entering the event venue (from move-in day to the end of the show) will be advised to wear masks, required to disinfect with hand sanitizer/alcohol and pass temperature checks at all entrances of the event hall before they can attend the show.
We will also work closely with the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) to ensure that precautionary measures are in place. These include, and are not limited to, complete sanitization of the whole venue before the show and increased disinfection/cleaning of the exhibition halls and high contact public areas (toilets, registration counters, hand rails, elevators, etc.) during the show. Sanitizing stations will also be readily available throughout the whole event hall. We are prepared to implement any additional safety protocols as needed.
Secutech Vietnam’s ongoing show preparations, visitor recruitment and support from government and association bodies remain unchanged. We are working hard to ensure that this year’s show will continue to be the successful business platform for our global and Asian participants.
We will continue monitoring the situation closely and will update you as soon as there are any new developments. Exhibitor terms and conditions (e.g., for cancellations) remain as stated in the original contract.
