A review of Secutech Vietnam: what were the star performers at last week’s security trade fair?

What’s new in security? What are the priorities for buyers in Vietnam? And how has the pandemic affected the business environment? After a three-year absence due to the pandemic, these were the questions that were answered at last week’s Secutech Vietnam, which focused on new opportunities in one of the fastest recovering economies in Asia. With high praise from all corners of the security and fire safety industries, the three-day fair recently closed its doors on 20 August after a successful reunion of 250 exhibitors and 8,896 trade visitors at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center.

Secutech Vietnam opens in Ho Chi Minh City after three-year pandemic pause

Following Secutech in Taipei earlier this year, another influential trade fair for the security and fire safety industries is making its homecoming this week. Located in one of the most promising markets in South East Asia, Secutech Vietnam is preparing to open its doors from 18 – 20 August at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center with over 250 exhibitors participating. Pavilions from Japan and Singapore are leading a charge of international exhibitors from 15 countries and regions at the fair, with many of these brands presenting a new wave of safety innovations that have been inspired by the pandemic, including advanced biometrics and surveillance systems.

Secutech Vietnam: workplace security and training under the microscope at Smart Security Conference

In Q2 of this year, Vietnam’s economic recovery kicked into high gear as GDP growth reached its fastest pace in 11 years. For the thousands of security industry players set to gather at this month’s Secutech Vietnam, this revival is welcome news. With different sectors of the economy including the manufacturing and services sectors expanding, so are the opportunities to implement more efficient security, fire safety and workforce management systems. From 18 – 20 August, exhibitors and seminar speakers will demonstrate how these solutions are not only becoming more advanced, but in many cases they are also becoming more affordable.

Secutech Vietnam 2022 to cater to the growing market for security solutions

Security, fire safety and smart building industry players are busy planning their trips to Secutech Vietnam as the countdown to the 2022 edition enters its final two months. Excitement is also rising among overseas participants after the Vietnamese government recently reopened borders for international tourism in March and lifted pre-departure COVID-19 test requirements for vaccinated travellers. Highly anticipated by the industry, this year’s Secutech Vietnam has signed up a large contingent of major international and domestic brands, and has confirmed overseas pavilions from Japan and Singapore.

Secutech Vietnam secures new dates in August 2022

Security industry professionals can now start marking their calendars for the return of Secutech Vietnam. Following the deferral of the 2021 edition due to the pandemic, the fair will make its homecoming from 18 – 20 August 2022 at the Saigon Convention and Exhibition Centre in Ho Chi Minh City. Having achieved consistent year-on-year growth in scale prior to the pandemic, expectations for a return to normality at Secutech Vietnam are naturally high. Fairgoers can expect to find opportunities across all major product sectors in the security industry, as well as focused networking and brand building occasions at concurrent events for smart building and fire safety.

Secutech Vietnam to be moved to a later date

Instead of its originally scheduled late-September timeslot, Secutech Vietnam will now take place at a future date. The postponement is due to recurring outbreaks of Covid-19 across Vietnam, as well as travel restrictions and periodic lockdowns. The rearranged fair will take place at the Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi, with the new dates to be announced in due course.

Secutech Vietnam to be rescheduled to October 2021

To provide more time for the public health situation in Vietnam to improve, and for the local government’s vaccination initiative to take effect, Secutech Vietnam, the country’s most influential trade fair for the security and fire safety industries, has been rescheduled to 29 September – 2 October 2021. Originally scheduled to take place in August, the 2021 fair will be held at the Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi for the first time since 2016 to connect exhibitors with more distributors, system integrators and trade buyers from the north of the country.

Moving to Hanoi – Secutech Vietnam returns in August 2021

To coincide with the Vietnam Fire Department’s 60th anniversary celebrations, Secutech Vietnam is relocating to the Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi for its 2021 edition. The move away from its traditional location in Ho Chi Minh City will help the fair’s security and fire safety exhibitors develop their business in Northern Vietnam by connecting them with more distributors and system integrators from the region. The fair is scheduled to take place from 25 – 28 August 2021, with an expected 400 exhibitors in attendance.

Messe Frankfurt defers two of its trade fairs in Vietnam: Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City and Secutech Vietnam

As a result of flight restrictions impeding business travel to Vietnam, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd has announced the postponement of two of its trade fairs in the country. With a respective focus on automotive services and the safety and security industry, Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City and Secutech Vietnam, originally scheduled to take place concurrently at the Saigon Convention and Exhibition Centre this summer from 20 – 22 August, will be rescheduled to 2021.

Secutech Vietnam returns in August to cater to growing market for integrated security, smart building and fire safety solutions

Secutech Vietnam, the region’s trade fair for connected IoT-based security, fire safety and smart building solutions will return to the Saigon Convention and Exhibition Centre for its 13th edition from 20 – 22 August 2020.
